flowers by candle light.

I love shooting by candle light. I think it may just be my new favorite thing.

The texture I was able to capture is my favorite part of this photograph. It feels like you could just reach out and take one of the flowers and feel the fabric. I was very pleased.

55 mpr

Today on my way home I felt inspired. So I had did an experiment. The following is a selection of what I came up with.  If you were wondering, all of these are single, long exposures. I did no color or editing of any kind. Enjoy.

Tibby

Tibby had a very long day today.

Christmas is very overwhelming for a little puppy.  She did a lot  playing today and a lot of sleeping.

But she was very good considering how much was going on around her. She particularly enjoyed eating wrapping paper and chewing on tissue paper.

I love her paws in this picture.

Christmas Dinner

I love Christmas Dinner.

Potatoes, corn, chicken and gravy.

YUM.

Jack Frost

Jack Frost must have visited me in the night, because this is what I woke up to this morning.

I thought that it looked like birds flying in the open sky. At least that was what I was in visioning while taking the photographs.

I felt very inspired by Jack's handy work. I wonder what new designs will be there next time I look.

broken candle

I suddenly heard a snap, crack, pop. Wondering where it came from I went to investigate.

This is what I found to be the culprit, a broken candle that snapped, and broke. I thought the way that the glass snapped was kind of interesting. It intrigued me to a large enough degree that I had to get my camera.

I was quite happy with the results.

my beautiful christmas cactus

There's nothing like a blooming Christmas Cactus to put you in the holiday spirit.

This Cactus was started from my Great Grandmothers Cactus. I love the way the leaves look compared to the newer Cactus you can buy today.

Pink is usually not my favorite color, but the pink of these flowers have always been a personal favorite.
