5.12.11

so this was thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving #1 was in Cortland. It was a long drived squished in the car. At least the dogs stayed home for this leg of the journey.

We started with car bingo. Yes, it's exactly what you think. It ended up being a pretty good time. I'm not going to lie.

My brother thought that this pink marker was going to bring him the luck to win. It didn't work.

On the way back from Thanksgiving #1 the sky was beautiful.

Thanksgiving #2 was in OHIO. Boy was it a drive. Luckily in two cars this time. The food was AMAZING! Then the guys (and girl) played a little football While the "old men" went for a drive.

There were two pint sized fans.

The funny thing about football was that it was a cover up for the preparation for my brother and his fiance's engagement shower.

While football continued, the kids went for a little walk. Well, I guess a ride. It was nice to get out of the house for a bit.

This is his... "It wasn't me" face. What a cutie.

And then the surprise shower came into play, and boy were they surprised!

The dogs (well two of them) got all curled up to wach the event.

The engaged played a game, to see how well they knew each other.

They did surprisingly well, and now we all know that their dishes will never be done.

And then came the gifts.

The rolling pin was made by my grandfather.

My Aunt makes tree skirts for every couple to get at their engagement party.

After the shower, we took pictures.
The annual grandpa son picture.

And the cousin picture, this one is particularly special because so many of us were there. of all the cousins only one was missing.

So our numbers were as follows:
7 of 8 cousins
4 spouses (or soon to be)
2 little boys and 2 unborn girls
1 Grandpa

It's very exciting to have a "next" generation. I can't wait for the two little girls to be born!

And one final picture from Thanksgiving #2. The annual picture. Manda, Grady and Me. Next year a beautiful little girl will be added! So exciting!

On our way home we saw this dog. His owner is my hero!

And that was one epic Thanksgiving adventure. A lot of time in the car. But it was well worth it.
