perogi and a christmas tree.

Part of Marks family tradition are to make home made perogi's.

Yesterday I had my first perogi making experience. It was very fun. The first batch Mark's mom rolled out the dough but after that I rolled them out. It was a lot like rolling out pie crust.

After rolling out and cutting the dough Maggie filled them with cabbage and cheese.

Needless to say. They were delicious.

Along with the perogi's there we had great bread, salid and chicken. Everything was AMAZING!

Next, was christmas tree decorating! Phantom thought it was all very interesting. We strung lights, and Mark put the star on top. The star was one that him Grandparents had when they first got married.

It was so much fun to hear stories about some of the ornaments. The ones that Maggie made when she was little. The different ornaments that were inherited or gifted.

Phantome decided that the tissue paper was a great place to curl up and be in the way. He looked so cute so he was left alone. Really, it's better that way, he's kind of a crazy cat. One to leave alone unless necessary to interact. But he loves paper, and getting in the way.

So many pretty ornaments.

Maggie, after catching phantom, had her picture taken with him in front of the tree. After a few pictures he was a little fed up with the idea. But first I did capture a few nice pictures of the two of them.

And that was my New York City perogi and Christmas Tree decorating adventure. But don't worry. My New York City Christmas is not over yet. Still to come is the putting together and decorating of the Space Tree.
